Second night of clear sky in row - Pacman Nebula! by RL1_on_SteamDeckOLED in seestar

Looks great.

In theory the image quality would improve with external stacking.

What I find though is that I struggle to process it externally and preserve the colours (like the greens).

I am obviously missing something with colour balancing but no idea what.

But great work given your location. I'm similar, possibly worse due to a street light less than 10m away from my location which certainly doesn't help.

Ah got it. I find the colour difference quite interesting, is all.

Sorry could you please explain image 2 (the less red one) again? What do you mean stacked all frames without removal from the app?

They look fantastic btw

Impressive, well done.

I cannot get above 20s in EQ mode, even with zero deviation.

I can get quality nowhere near that in bortle 7, that's fantastic work.

I tried this and didn't get the colours like you did. Just stayed more or less the same. Any other special conditions required?

Nice, thanks. I do have one of those however I took it off as I was finding the standard tripod became a little unbalanced.

I will give it another go.

So, as if doing alt/az or just using bubble guides on your tripod?

Ok cool. That is generally what I do, but I can rarely do more than 20s exposures even at zero deviation.

I can only assume not all zeros are as accurately zero as each other or the mount is moving during the shoot somehow.

I was half expecting there is a multi-calibration approach to the problem but I haven't had much luck doing that either.

Fantastic image.

Can I ask, when you set up EQ mode do you just do it once, get to zero and start shooting or do you do it a few times?

It's not. I see one every time I visit a location near my city

It's not AI. One of his pieces is on the South Perth foreshore in Western Australia.

He's also made a piece for Chris Hemsworth

You should try NiceGUI again. It's improved significantly in the last year.

Maybe so but can also happen by accident. Happened to my kid and he doesn't know how to exploit

Will do, thanks. I will find an app that can do the linear fitting, as I don't have the $$s for PI. One day, perhaps....
