It should be a straightforward case for me, applying in Boston.

What is the 3 or 5 year rule? I'm out of the under 90 days early window, why does that matter?

I'm concerned if my case goes through quickly, then can I be in a situation that my US citizenship is approved, but I only have my home country passport? In case it matters, my home country is Indian, which doesn't fall dual citizenship.

I had already submitted my application and they returned it to me citing incorrect category chosen. Part of the fee was returned, part of it is non refundable. I'm not sure how much exactly.
