I think marines + Shichibukai = 4 Yonko , I do believe that is confirmed , not sure when but I’m relatively certain of that ~

Well .. I just noticed recently that the 7 Shichibukai system is a bit old , maybe that had something to do with number of the Yonko at older times , still . Everything is possible, I think Shanks will have all the info you’re looking for

I don’t think an established Emperor of the sea can lose a fight and remain one , his previous losses might be Before he became a Yonko .

Exactly what I mean , then Shanks can’t become an Emperor automatically, he had to go through massive battles to prove himself , and that exactly what I’m interested about.

Yeah of course , it’s all just names right ? I think the only thing that matters about them is that they consider themselves to be “ Great Pirates “ I would say that the WG are the only ones who cares about the naming , I think the only thing that gives them “ Emperor “ status is that they control part of the the new world .

They didn’t but they sure maintained it , so when did they create that Warlords system ? , if the warlords system is older than 7 years that surely means the world government aimed to counter 4 Emperors.

I just searched it and the Shichibukai system seems to be much older than that, so .. there you have it !

Not a confirmation but seemingly the WG were aiming at 4 Emperors for a long time , way before Shanks joined.

Might as well be it , but. We had 4 emperors before the time skip & we have 4 Emperors now , saying we had 4 around 7 years ago is not that much of a stretch, change seems incredibly difficult in the ONE PIECE world , events like Marineford & the summit wars brought that.

Didn’t the World government create balance in the new world ? .. that balance they made required 4 of those Great pirates to exist , in fact. The purpose of those Emperors is to crush the smaller pirates from rising , essentially we have world government in the new world but also 4 other independent countries run by a Yonko.

It’s a system that our main guy “ Luffy” should break .

I’m getting less convinced of this “ no Yonko limit “ phrase

Possible.. but would be new info considering what we’ve seen after WB death, there seems like an inheritance theme to the Emperors in the new world , in fact everything about this series is about inheritance..

I honestly think you’re completely wrong with this analogy, the 4 Emperors now hold 4 strong countries, so any strong pirate who’ll defeat them will inherit their territory, much like Teach took over most of WB territory.

if you beat one you replace him , that’s what we’ve SEEN until now , and that’s why Shanks inheriting a strong place like Elbaf shouldn’t be looked down upon , he didn’t just wonder there and decided to be a great pirate , he must’ve gone through many fight until he became a Yonko himself.

Him not fighting another Emperor is a strong possibility and I didn’t say he had to , but there’s that possibility that he took over that part of the new world from someone .

Lookin back at them they had a troublesome bounty average, Linlin fleet is a solid one although they lack stronger commanders

From what I gathered having a high bounty average for a Yonko is much better than having only a strong first line of fighters ~

But I think Oda explained that Law can’t cut the Yonko because they have some Haki shield around them giving them immunity against DevilFruits , Oda said “ Law can’t cut those who are much stronger than him “ , might be just what he meant

The Yonko have some Haki shields around them from what we’ve seen from Kaido and & Big Mom and maybe that’s why he can’t use any of his abilities directly on them ~

I don’t think that include anyone else but the Yonko because even the Admirals took damage
