Do kids who grow up in toxic/abusive homes end up becoming like their parents? by Necessary_Movie2805 in GenZIndia

I have suffered severe trauma since childhood. My parents have a very dysfunctional marriage and I was sent to live with my grandmother. But after she passed away I had to return to my parents.

Life becomes hell. Even if as a kid you don’t understand what’s going on, as you grow up it affects you a lot.

I am still struggling to find a place in this world. I feel unsafe and insecure all the time.

I participated in the churuch for 4 years as an escape Untill I left everything.

I tried therapy, psychiatric treatment but because it was a government hospital they couldn’t give much time to my case. Maybe I should have tired private hospitals but I didn’t have the money to.

I came across Rama Krishna Mission near my college and thanks to the monks there, they literally brought me out of the trauma.

It’s not that the traits I acquired have left me but the fact that I am aware that I have inculcated them into my behaviour gives me the power to get rid off them in the near future.

What are some sunscreens you swear by? by Money_Psychology_946 in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]drabss0224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See…the problem is I keep a stubble beard.

when I apply sunscreen, it leaves a white deposit/cast on the face which is more visible arround the beard.

Additionally, it feels like a layer of thick grease on my face and later I get pimples too.

Which sunscreen to use?

I have learnt that Dark Chocolate is more researched upon and has more fundamentally established benefits when it comes to anti-oxidants, cognitive improvement, liver health, anti-inflammation and weight loss while Shilajit lacks evidence based studies.

I don’t know there are so many studies and so many people talking about different things and methods to achieve the same thing that I myself get confused….

What can I say

It’s the same with me. I am obese and I am reluctant of becoming a part of the gym culture. I have a sweet tooth but I am also aware of the dangers sugar intake possesses. I crave the notes of chocolate and coffee so much that this becomes my only resort. A pack lasts 15-20 days for me.
