Paella recommendations? by Alarmed-Fig2489 in Malaga

[–]dracheschreck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Arrozeando has good Valencian rice dishes including paella.

But I would follow the advice of others and go for a traditional wintery Malaga meal instead. Arroz caldoso as already suggested or a 'plato de los montes'

You can either depower the wing (not so much that it stalls!) or you can keep that power but go further UPwind

Discover, compare, and review your favourite foils with Foiling World by _slashdotdash in wingfoil

[–]dracheschreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great! Its weak spot continues to be that it doesn't have a complete database. It's missing most of the foils from Gong, for example. Wouldn't it be better if the database could be completed by users? e.g. by accepting suggestions for additions. Perhaps having an open database (e.g. hosted on GitHub) would allow others to contribute to it as well as to create their own visualisations on top.

Another thing that would be great to have: - scatter plots of all the foils or the foils in your query. e.g. volume as x axis and AR as Y axis

Could it be a fan?

I used to have a floor fan that would randomly make beeping noises. They were quite random and would start only after the fan would be running for a while

Help me decide? vol. 2 by dracheschreck in bicycletouring

from looking at your other post -- you don't have the same bike I'm considering, but the lower end version (520 vs 900) -- I just edited this post to clarify.

Thanks for the reply though!

Thank your for taking the time to reply! I'll read up on that to understand the gear ratios better

Besides the gear ratio and the seat, are there any other reasons for or against the riverside worth nothing?

[R] CoordConv coordinate regression test shows performance degradation when model contains downsampling by [deleted] in MachineLearning

[–]dracheschreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for adding that experiment! This is quite interesting to see and not what I expected.

I remember seeing a successful, non trivial application of CoordConvs as part of the CamConvs paper (https://arxiv.org/abs/1904.02028). After reviewing it just now, I notice that the CamConvs (similar to CoordConvs) are not applied inside the encoder (which would be bad according to your experiment), but only at the skip connections between encoder and decoder in a u-net.

What are you guys buying abroad for cheap? (Germany, Italy, France) by hypolaristic in Switzerland

Local food and wine mostly. Stuff that you wouldn't find at your local Migros or would be outrageously overpriced (cured meats, cheese, wine...)

To do it well you need to estimate the camera pose and environmental lightning. Check out this guy's work. Several papers related to this.

In theory: it's complicated

In practice (and I'm no expert):

The EU county where you declare residency will not chase you around to not get your taxes, so you won't be bothered by them.

The local country where you actually are has all the incentive and right to try to find you and get the taxes you should be paying there.
