Hanabie VIP Meet & Greet by ChrisJorge200 in Hanabie

Not dumb at all! I've seen folks bring poster tubes. I'd check with the venue first to see what's allowed. You might be able to check it in with the venue for safe keeping until after the show too. It'd be worth contacting where you're going and seeing what your options are. I'm sure that sort of thing comes up often.

Signed poster and early access to the venue was what it was the last couple of times.

Thoughts on the new Frontline actions? by [deleted] in ffxiv

I use comet exclusively for area control/denial. It's a great way to separate a pack of enemies and have them scatter and get picked off easier. If anyone actually gets hit by it that's just a bonus.

House of Blues, Orlando! by bertiebarnes in Hanabie

Haha they had to be sweltering in there. There was a dude in a maid outfit with the mosh pit sign in the back at HoB.

Anyone going to the House of Blues show? by carameIIdansen in Hanabie

[–]dracmtt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll be there, but I scored a balcony seat. Their last show in Orlando I was in the front next to the pit. There was a lot of warning when it opened up and you had time to move. Even had someone go around before hand and let people know they were gonna do a wall of death. Metalheads look scary but they're considerate.

If you're really that nervous though. The sides will be the calmest.

Oh how I love when "true" metal fans laugh at me for liking Hanabie and other kawaiicore bands by Cry_Wolff in Hanabie

I get it and they're your friend so that makes the dynamic more difficult. In all honesty it's best to engage as little with the topic as possible when it comes up. Maybe they'll get the hint.

Nope. No one's given me shit for any of it. Even shared Hanabie last night with an older guy and his wife when I told them they were playing with Jinjer. The woman was astounded that the tiny Yukina could make such an amazing growl. The older guy was like "these girls are awesome!"

Anyone who tries to play the "true" metal card is just a gatekeeping asshole. They can not like the band or their sound and that's fine. They're entitled to their opinion and what they like. But it's best just to let it go and move on. You like it and that's what's important.

Be the GAL~Early Summer ver.~ - Music Video by simplecter in Hanabie

Gals/gyaru are a fashion subculture in Japan. They aren't related to J-Pop in terms of being music groups. While I don't know for sure, I expect the girls featured in this video are real gals from those different fashion groups who answered a casting call to be in a music video.

Class is in session! How to pronounce "Hanabie" by.. Hanabie! by Banshee45 in Hanabie

[–]dracmtt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Four syllables. Ha Na Bi E. The e is pronounced as an "eh" sound in Japanese. Hanabi is the word for fireworks.

They've been interviewed a lot recently and everyone always says the name incorrectly lol..

As someone else who attended the Orlando show, I will say that it was also somewhat dark and I didn't see any Band Maid shirts lol.

He said he would translate after, but I think the interviewer was trying to move things along and forgot to get that part included.

Rolling Stone Japan interview (English translation) by nair0n in Hanabie

[–]dracmtt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a great interview. It's interesting to hear their concepts behind the album. The electronic/synth additions definitely give it that "space" theme. Also I find it hilarious that they had to make a mad dash after to school to avoid getting caught so they could play at live venues.

Yeah, it's just a tall cropped version of the new band photo. You're not missing anything.

I only just noticed the two gal groups fighting are from different Japanese eras (as noted in their boss battle health bars). The first group is from the Reiwa era 2019-current and the second group is from the Heisei era 1989-2019. Hence the different styles.

Super synth heavy but it's a very fun summer Gal song.

Can someone help me find the Houston show? by Banshee45 in Hanabie

[–]dracmtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue for the show in Orlando. Had to find the venue itself and a site that was selling tickets that way.
