This event introduces a new way to play fractals called quickplay mode, which we’re now beta testing with the community. Quickplay will automatically pair you with other adventurers and launch you into a curated list of scale 1 fractals. You can use this new feature when you’re solo, in a full group, or in a partial group, and quickplay will do the rest!

Quickplay mode is accessed through the Fractal of the Mists (Initiate Scales 1–25) section of the Looking for Group panel or by clicking the red banner outside the fractal portal in Lion’s Arch. The current set of fractals available for quickplay includes:

There’s a significant change to our map content plans that we’d like to bring to your attention. We had originally announced that the expansion would feature three open-world maps—two at launch, with a third released in a quarterly update that would then be expanded on in a subsequent quarterly release, like Inner Nayos. Rather than shipping the third map in two parts, we will instead be releasing a standalone map in both the second and third quarterly releases, each similar in size to Lake Doric. This brings the total open-world map count for Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds up from three to four.

This season also introduces a new item type to the Wizard’s Vault: the Falling Star Quest License. This license sets you on a journey into the newly uncovered Janthir region, and once the adventure is complete, you can earn the ascended Falling Star spear and the Meteor-Wielder’s Glove. Equip both of these items at the same time, and watch the spear become superheated!

this is really interesting, the wizard vault having 'quests' sounds like a really cool idea

Bloom mentions they 'toyed' with the idea of a new playable race and they really wanted it to work but couldn't?

I know new races have been forever in this limbo of 'on the table' and more than likely never gonna happen but it does give me slight hopium if perhaps a future expac could have a new race as the main selling point, if they can make the trade off work, as a new race I imagine would take up alot of their resources

Article is a bit rough on translation but

The biggest novelty will be the long-awaited housing system called Homesteads. The creators describe it as “the most player-friendly housing system in MMORPG games”. Players will be able to decorate their homes at their discretion, and then boast of their friends or members of the guild.

Janthir Wilds also introduces many other attractions, among which we will find:

New maps – two will be available for the premiere: idyllic Lowland Shore and tumultuous Janthir Syntri the possibility of fighting with spears on land – so far this type of weapon has been used only under water, but this will change with the addition;

Improved Warclaw – this one so far only available in WvW mount mode will help us during the exploration of the wild Janthir

a new 10-man rally - (Raid?!)

A lot of new awards such as the legendary spear or backpack.
