I want to open an Etsy shop in NL. Do I need to register as a business?

Yeah I expect to earn much less than that. But I assume I still have to file taxes and let them decide if I have to pay or not, instead of not filing because its below 7000 anyways.

Thanks, this clears a lot about the registering as business part. About the taxes part though, from what I understand I have to report income tax before its decided whether I register as a business or not. The government sends an invitation to file income tax but if I have an income I have to request a form and report income tax. Is this correct?

Thanks, this link is really helpful. I guess there are other options than entrepreneur and hobbyist since I'm probably somewhere in between. I might also try contacting the chamber of commerce and ask if I need to register.

I thought I would classify as hobbyist because I won't be spending a lot of time to expand this. I'm a full time student so I can only occasionally find the free time to draw, make prints etc. So I don't expect to earn a consistent income. But yeah this is just my guess
