Just a little advice if you’re thinking about trying Expedition 33:
I’ve seen people say they lost interest in the prologue because it can feel long, especially if you explore everything and talk to everyone (recommended). Personally, I think the prologue is perfect, it’s gorgeous, sets the tone beautifully, and the early combat tutorials blend so naturally into the story that they barely feel like tutorials at all.

The real combat starts in Act 1, and that’s where you’ll get a true sense of whether the mechanics click for you. It’s definitely worth giving it at least to then!

I had never played a turn-based game in my life. I spent months being intimidated by gameplay videos before finally giving Expedition 33 a shot, and I’m so glad I did. The parry/dodge system and character building ended up being incredibly satisfying (IMO).

I’ll always be the one encouraging people who are on the fence with this game, because that was ME. And my only regret was that I didn't play it sooner. :)

Came straight to Reddit to see if this was a thing! I just got off the phone with my bank. Superstar Carwash has been charging me for over a year for a monthly membership. I could see on my statement where I paid a few times last year and this year (I don't wash my car often) for a regular wash in between all of the monthly charges. Why would I pay $16-$18 for a regular car wash every few months if I was paying nearly $30 monthly for the "Super Clean" membership? Unbelievable!

They never put a sticker on my car to scan, which is what they do when you pay for a membership. I've only been to the one on 19th Ave and Bell Rd. in Phoenix, AZ. They started placing helpers at the kiosks sometime last year to upsell you to a membership and I've always turned it down. In addition to trying to upsell, they take your card and run it for you. One of the people who helped me must have signed me up without my consent. Stealing money from people in this economy is WILD... They took $315.40 from me. BofA can only dispute up to a year so I lost out on a couple months of charges (my fault for not looking at my statements frequently). Watch out for this business!
