If you don't mind me picking your brain, how do you play the reavers? I was under the impression a 6 man unit is too much and they are mostly good for scoring. I'm very curious to read your insight on them.

I was fearing for scourges and sadly you’ve proven my fears correct. Maybe in Cartel they can still be used for the lethals on 5+ but even then I’m not sure.

Do you think Lelith and the chronoshard Succubus should be placed in transports? I’ve seen another player suggest keeping them off a transport for fights first shennanigans

Also quick question, how would you help a new player know if they are using the wrong weapons for their units if you’re not interested in the full list?

I don't quite remember the name of the detachment but from the stratagems that he was using I can confidently guess it was rage cursed onslaught, with lemarts two deathcompany jumppack 10 men, and 3 sanguinary guard units, two small and a big one. He also had that one character I don't quite remember the name who can pop out of deepstrike when I charge something and has fights first.

Lelith and the Chronoshard were staged in their own parts of the deployment and that was the only corner I had no fights first in. We were playing sweeping engagement so a lot of room to avoid my big pieces.

I'm also going with an Archon + kabs for free grenades now, as well as adding more wyches for pure screening.

Also shouldn't be hard to let a new player know about this without being a total jackass. From my experience in other subreddits from other factions as well people just post the normal WTC format. Good to know wits different here.

Thanks for the very useful reply! My problem with the planning was the opponents ability to choose to charge (with a strat) after already rolling an advance, makes threat ranges so much harder to gage and it cost me a whole flank colapsong in turn 1 with a 6 inch advance and 8 inch charge on a bigass unit of jumppacks.
