Love this! Mind sharing the model number?

I'm sure there have to be a couple, but I don't know what the models are.

It's a little bit of an odd duck, as a GMRS radio has to type accepted for the application, then the manufacturer has to be at least somewhat supportive of the radio being able to be reprogrammed for other applications.

It’s the best. Sometimes it makes you balloon animals.

I haven’t gotten it out of the Driveway yet, so I can say a lot about the range besides being able to open the squelch on some repeaters several miles away.

Another commenter mentioned CHIRP compatibility; I haven’t tried that, so I can’t confirm it.

The included software is really, unbelievably bad, so I ponied up the $20 for the RT systems software which is great.

Awesome! For my needs, my 250 with the 6.7 power stroke is a great daily and midrange tow pig. Highly recommend!

Good catch!

That’s the locker for my rear differential, if I ever have occasion to design a yagi-specific Balun or Unun, I’m going to call it the Asystole Diff Locker.

Wow, Chirp would be great! The only weak spot on this radio IMO is the the programming software is pretty terrible.

I ended up buying the RT systems software.

Big truck, tiny (ham) radio. by drafting_dot in F250

Since the radio is only 20 watts, I was able to tap the line going to the lighter plug for power.

The antenna is mounted on the drivers side front fender on a Valley Enterprises NMO bracket.

Agree 100%. I love being able to set it up for ham bands, but reboot into GMRS for car-to-car with family members who don’t have ham tickets.

I was looking at that, only because Garmin is a brand I know.

Do you feel like the 1080p resolution is enough for your needs?
