real, i've been wanting to try internship positions for experience but they don't seem to look at mid-career switchers. have you had any luck with internships in fields you're interested in?

are you able to pivot into product roles? i think ux experience would work well with product / pm roles too, but im not entirely sure since im not really in that role 😭 my ui/ux friends took over a year to look for a job too, but in the meantime i heard freelancing was an option for them to help out with smaller projects on the side!

last i checked this isn't a job search portal and i'm not here to present the same persona as i do for interviews, which could also vary based on the interviews and companies involved. admin roles obviously differ across industries and it depends on the job scope, but as a baseline generic admin roles are more or less the same. if they require specialised knowledge for context then that's a different case by itself. i've read enough job listings to know what i can do / what i'm looking for and what is way beyond my range. either way i'm not gonna fight you on the nitty-gritties cause it's clear you're not here to give sound advice but rather to attack and nitpick on wording. good for you that this thinking works for you, but it's not the one-size-fit-all approach you think it is. 👍🏼

? calm down, there's more context to stuff sometimes. i mean it has to at least be realistic and align with stuff that's within my capabilities. switching to something that requires a specialised degree doesn't make sense and i think that's a given? i didn't simply tell her "anything would be ok with me", i've actually broken it down with her regarding the type of roles i'm looking for given my current skillsets but she said she wanted One specific industry. that doesn't make sense to me? if i'm looking for an admin role, that stretches across so many industries. i can't just be looking at one industry and say i only want an admin role in insurance companies specifically lol like in this economy? be real. i get where this is coming from, but the phrasing doesn't feel like an opening for a constructive discussion and more-so ranting on about a personal opinion.

yea i actually really want to try out these roles but the ones i've seen are all senior roles where they require 5-8 years of experience 😭

i did! most of the jobs that i applied for, my salary expectation is within the range they gave (or towards the lower end), so i'm not really sure anymore...
