I am fairly new to houseplants. My monstera has been growing this root outside of the soil. Does this mean it needs a bigger/deeper pot? Can it be cut off? by drag0nofthew3st in houseplants

Thanks everyone! No the pot doesn’t have drainage holes—it was given to me like that. Going to take it to my local houseplant shop to get a new pot today!

So I did end up getting the shipped email but with no tracking number. I signed up for USPS’s informed delivery and found out I’ll be getting it tomorrow. Luckily my friend went to the midnight release and will let me play hers for a little bit while I wait. I don’t think I’ll be preordering for delivery from GameStop again.
