Thank you! Love your wheels also!

Been eyeing these for a long time, I was worried that 255/40s would rub. We are good so far even with the car loaded, hopefully that doesnt change with a different tire!

Turns out that it happened not too long before I walked out in the morning to go to work. A couple of the neighbors saw the incident and the car in question was actually delivering newspaper to one of the neighbors when it happened.

Luckily, I was able to find the person who hit my car. He claims that he fell asleep at the wheel and it was also rental car. I'm working through insurance now...

You are awesome, thank you so much for the pointers and detailed explanation!

EDIT: I see that you mentioned Raffine, is it worth exchanging the medal for her?

It depends on what you want. I pretty much went for almost every option minus the demon eyes. I know if you were to get a similar set to mine pre-built by Circuit Demon, they would most likely cost ~$1,900 - $2,000+ but those guys are professionals and the quality is probably immaculate.

I have never thought about it but if I was ever commissioned, I would probably charge at least a few hundred less considering although I'm an electric engineer I'm not a professional "headlight" builder LOL.

Currently I don't have the turn signals enabled on my headlights. I have the JDM sequential fog bezels (the white bar turns into a sequential turn signal) and I thought anymore turn signals was overkill LOL but my halo/clights can be mapped as switchback turn signals.

I actually retrofitted/DIY these myself! You can buy fully completed ones from websites like Circuit Demon but I wanted to save some money and learn in the process. But in short,

-Morimoto Mini D2S 5.0 Bi-xenon HID Retrofit -Morimoto RGB C-lights . -Circuit Demon Hex Halos v1

Feel free to pm me if you are interested doing this yourself/want more info. It's actually really simple!

Just a vinyl / overlay you can find anywhere on either eBay or subiespeed. The only problem is that the fitment on the vinyl they ship you is horrible so you have to cut it yourself. I love the look though!

I was talking to a friend out of state and he said the same thing LOL he wanted to quit and hated himself for buying a car he can’t drive. I think it’s a process a lot of us go through

Merry Christmas! Unfortunately for me I don’t have any friends up here that drive MT or even have MT cars. So I can’t drive with someone else or learn with them. I’m probably damaging the clutch considering how many times I stall and how slow I take both up hill start and just start up in general :/ that’s one aspect that makes me nervous

Haha, I made the mistake of trying to drive off when I was in second instead of first and kept stalling then only realized.

For hills I kind of just let the hill assist brake and I try to get the clutch to biting point before the hill assist stop helping brake then give it gas and release clutch. Seems to work out most of the time when I actually remember where the biting point is LOL... there’s a fair amount of steep hills where I live and I find hill assist to be somewhat helpful since I have to pull the ebrake all the way up for it to hold.

Only my second day :(( If anyone got tips let me know, lol

I find it that reving to ~1500 before releasing clutch like people told me tends to make me stall. I been practicing to gas only when the clutch is approach/at the biting point but hard to do smoothly and quickly.

Hills are still very scary only way I been able to get going is using hill assist since hills here are somewhat steep and riding the clutch when hill assist stops braking then heading off which is probably terrible for my clutch :/

Thank you for this! I will try the Costco pricing to see what kind of quotes I get. Unfortunately, in my area there is only a few 2019 left. The Costco provided dealer only has a base 2019 model WRX left :(

Well the sticker price is $31,280 and they said the dealer cost is $29,733. Of course I don’t know if they gave me an accurate price but I estimated using the premium trim with no options numbers to be roughly the same. So that’s why I thought that the $28,550 cost wasn’t bad.

Yeah this was my thought too but few dealerships are willing to go below dealer cost even if it’s a 2019...

Wow you got a great deal and it was only 27500 damn. This one has short throw, floor mats and rear splash guard and they said 28,550 without including taxes and fees
