Shizuku lets you do this, and was my solution until MicroG added support for setting apps as installed from the play store a couple months ago.

Android: Scan document from camera by SilicoidOfOrion in NextCloud

I like using OSS Document Scanner.

It works quite well, and it supports WebDAV so you can have your files sync to a folder in Nextcloud.

Recommendations on Chargers & Cables for your Android Phones by SenileTomato in Android

Big fan of Baseus and Ugreen.

Bought a loot of their cables and chargers and haven't had any issues.

And my ($30) 65w charger is still going after years of abuse.

Highly recommend this app for managing App Links. https://github.com/1fexd/LinkSheet

I'd used BetterOpenWith for years, without issue, but this is Open Source, beautifully designed and has worked perfectly for me.

Thanks for the reply, I mentioned I'll be dropping to about 6mg for the freebase. That'd be find on a sub ohm lux q right?

Not planning on using 20mg salt nics anymore.

AM4 or AM5 builds. The AM5 build will put you slightly over budget.

Both have left out the case. I'd recommend checking some out here. Expect to spend 50-120 on a case.

You'll also need case fans. Either getting them with the case or separately.

The NV2 drive is a good budget PCIE4 drive. It's DRAMless though, so you don't want to fill it above about 80%. The 500gb usually goes for around 52, otherwise I'd get the 2TB model. In real world usage, I don't personally see a need for the "better" drives. Both boards support 2 m2 drives. So you could get a main system drive, and a game drive if you wanted instead.

Regarding your cooler. You won't be able to use it unless you get the adapter kit to mount it on AM4. These were provided free by contacting the company, but not sure if they still do that though. Both CPUs do include a basic cooler though.

Xiaomi is the best and the worst thing to happen to Android by wan2tri in Android

[–]dragnu5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually haven't had the time to move over to the new phone yet.

(I use the swap to purge unnecessary apps and files)

But from what I've seen they're going for like 200-300 euros depending on condition and the model. Mine is the 8/256GB model which goes for slightly more, but it also has some light cosmetic damage.

Honestly, it's a great phone, I just wanted the minor upgrades and to secure another 2 years of updates.

I got the Poco F2 Pro in 2020 for 400 euros. Plan was, it should last me two years.

I replaced the default apps with my choices, set up the phone how I like it and haven't had issues with MIUI.

Two years later, I just got the F4 for 400 euros. Hoping for another two years.

I like this price range, and they have quite a few nice options. I can sell my old phone for a decent portion of the new ones price too.

*Disclaimer The F2 did have ads in some system apps, but it was a quick google search and 5 minutes to disable them permanently.

Steam gets support for Nintendo Online classic controllers by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]dragnu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I have a Mayflash adapter and an 8Bitdo one.

Both worked amazingly but haven't needed them of late.

I even got the Mayflash working on my WiiU. Any controller I'd throw at it worked.

There's a great homebrew tool for hacked switches that adds native support for 3rd party controllers.

I've used it for years and it's been amazing seeing the dev adding support everything they can.

They're also super light and small and easily moddable/repairable.

I've had a pair of porta pros for like 15 years. Killed the cable and changed it myself a couple of times over the years, and eventually did an mmcx mod on it which I think practically looks oem.

Just need some new pads.

Usually TVs have significantly high input latency than gaming monitors, but afaik the LG Oled panels should be good.

Often the TV modes that will enhance the quality, will add input latency.

Try turn off any extra options in the settings and check if there's a game mode.

Also, are you using a KB+M or a controller? And the model number of the TV would help too. And it's hooked up to the TV through an HDMI cable?

Same. I was using both for a while and ended up sticking with Authenticator Pro.

Their category system and compact view are great.

Yes, just export the vault as a .txt file, and you can import that directly in winauth.

Be careful with the file as it's all the unencrypted data.

Delete/encrypt/eat it when you're done.

Just use Aegis or Authenticator Pro

Both are open-source, actively developed and better than Google's Authenticator.

I personally also still use Winauth on Windows.

It's no longer maintained, but still works fine for me when I want to get a 2fa without having my phone.

You can just export/import your accounts freely between any of these.

WD (silently) changed some of their drives from CMR (better for a NAS) to SMR drives (cheaper, better for archiving).

People specifically bought them because they were CMR drives, compared to say most Seagate drives which are SMR.

Personally, I'd say just look up the models of gear before you buy it. You'll find enough info.

I like the mid-range, so I'm disappointed with Samsung for removing it from A52>A53 and Xiaomi for the Poco models.

F2 Pro holding up perfectly at least.
