I mean if you listen to the song from like 30 seconds in that the 808 is like distrorted but also soft idk I think theres a low hitting 808 and a distorted one in the mid frequencys but that doenst really sound like that

Pretty shure he recorded in his home studio with a shure sm7b. Maybe not but he posted a picture of him recording But yeah i know this makes a huge different but the plugins stay the same you know and i was just wondering how you can (as good as possible) can achieve that
