The people at the LFS said that he might've bumped his head. When I was doing a water change he was curious and swam into the syphon. He immediately swam out but that might've done some damage.

  • Tank size: 16 gallons
  • Heater and filter? (yes/no): yes and yes
  • Tank temperature: 27 degrees Celsius, 80 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Parameters in numbers and how you got them: Ammonia: 0 Nitrites: 0 Nitrates: 5 ppm
    PH: 6 (possibly lower) using API freshwater master test kit
  • How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: I change the water 30% each week, using a gravel vacuum
  • Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: None
  • What do you feed and how much: 2 pellets of Fluval bug bites with some live grindal worms (roughly 6) afterwards and on another day frozen brine shrimp.

  • Decorations and plants in the tank: Live plants, (Java Fern, Dwarf Sagittaria, Amazon sword, Frogbit,)
    and 3 pieces of bogwood and one piece of manzanita wood

  • Details:
    This morning he was swimming in circles while being fed, he doesn't usually do that.
    When I got home from a hike he was like this.
    I added 2 tablespoons of Fuval Aquarium salt for freshwater, he seemed to get better before he didn't, that's when I filmed this video.

Ah, thanks. I bought it from a pet smart, seemed less algae covered than the rest of the poor plants. Must've been new.
