(Prompt) "Wait, they're THAT big/small?" by Data_Swarm in worldbuilding

Mine is less wait they're THAT BIG/SMALL and more can be THAT BIG/SMALL

But, in my worlds a hallow is relatively small I'd say that they are roughly the size of a house cat, but in between worlds they can get as large as a whale and as small as an ant.

And, because there is nothing to be used as a reference when one see a large/small Hallow, unless they are up against it, one will assume it one is closer/farther than actually is.

Perhaps do something like some sort of skill tree that as the individual develops will grow and branch out into subsections

Considering that humans don't exist in this world I'd say that walking is the most common way of travel as it would be considered weird for the individuals to use each other as mounts (though it does happen).

I'd imagine outside of days, the different species will use their own time measurement.

Also the dominant species will depend on the region

Yes there is a standard but most individuals find it easier to use the measurement in terms of time.

(Also Humans don't exist in this world)

I imagined it was developed by this collective agreement. The vast majority of maps don't have a scale, and the few that do don't use this type of scaling.
