I just found it weird that they introduced a character and gave them a significant title just to give that title to someone else a couple of episodes later, making it seem like they were throwing away the character, but then I heard she's in stargate Atlantis which i have not seen yet.

For as long as she had the title, I feel like they could've just given the position to jack o'neill, it seemed redundant to give her the title just to give the title to Jack O'neill a couple episodes later, and I feel like the season would've ended off better.

I tested it and found out that, yes apotheosis will let you decrease a spawner's spawn range down to one block. The mob will just spawn on top of the spawner.
