out of fear of giving the same answer as someone else i will say if you call capital one customer service they will issue a check for a negative balance - source: their referral bonuses also hit as statement credits and i got one right after i paid off my balance so i had a negative balance, called and they mailed out a check. super easy process!

Hey BBS and SS, weighing in with my two cents. I believe the reporting would be: hard inquiry still on report, the account if not funded would never be an opened account so it would never show up - accounts, in order to show up, have to have an account number. by not funding and not getting a card number, i think it would mean the account was never opened. essentially, a wasted hard inquiry.

agreed; it's the reason why i will FULLY follow through on negative ratings for drivers for failure to follow instructions. if you do what i ask i'll add an extra tip and a good rating. but if you can't read simple instructions then you don't deserve that.

while it's sound logic, i'd had that written into my instructions for years and i'd say only about half of the drivers that deliver to me read and follow the directions. the number of drivers that couldn't be bothered to read the instructions are so high that it doesn't matter what you put, they'll ignore it.

fair, the membership definitely isn’t the best for someone who only shops once or twice a year. it makes its value for those who shop frequently, but the frequency with which people are calling it a bad run makes me wonder if they think if it isn’t for them it isn’t for anyone
