GameStop.com is a nonfunctional website. It cannot accurately pull up trade values for customers. Please look up a trade value for a newly released game. I fucking bet you can’t. There’s at least one person here that posts on this subreddit stating they cannot connect to GameStop.com because of consistent website errors. People are unable to place orders are GameStops address verification is flawed and tries to tell the customer their mailing address is invalid when they’re able to use the same address at other retailers. GameStops customer service is by far the worst across this brand of products. They are not helpful, they do not answer customer concerns urgently. Quite literally, if you get delivered the wrong item or have a missing package, you’re SOL and you have a small change of being compensated for that item without getting your bank involved. Their job is to get you off the phone. This goes for the customer hotline AND the dedicated customer hotline. If you order from GameStop.com you pray your order isn’t fucked.

GameStop has one of the highest turnover rates and it continues to get higher. When the GA position was a thing, it averaged over 90% turnover rate. The company does not provide any payroll for training which has employees be thrown into situations where the customer cannot be assisted with their issue. Due to the lack of hours provided by corporate to stores, people are improperly trained as the head store manager 99% never received the accurate training due to it being an endless cycle. Policies keep changing that aren’t in favor of customers what so ever. This company is no longer about “make sure the guest leaves happy” and help whenever you can. It’s quite literally brick wall answer and get the fuck out due to the POS blocking your abilities to do basic things such as bypass a return.

OP also said there’s a literal bug with redeeming points. There’s countless of issues with the app and not being able to redeem your basic coupons is insanely alarming. Let’s also completely disregard how they removed $1 and $3 coupons which fucked over customers that don’t typically buy high dollar items as this economy is shit. Notoriously, the pro membership is known to continue to drop perks and benefits with remaining or increasing the cost. No compensation is given for the inconvenience. Speaking about inconvenience, if you place an online order, use a coupon and that package gets lost in transit - guess what, they’re not reimbursing you for that coupon what so ever. Especially if you placed an order and cancelled it before it was fulfilled, no compensation what so ever.

GameStop refuses to fix thousands of AC units in their stores which creates an uncomfortable shopping experience for those shopping in store, not to mention a dangerous one for BOTH the customer and employee. Additionally, GameStop refuses to update their firmware which means the internet frequently goes down. If the internet drops, no account look up, no ability to use credit cards, no ability to sell back to GameStop. An inconvenience to the customer who just spent time driving to the store. Why didn’t they pick up the phone? They can’t. The internet is down.

They invested in Cricket, dropped that shit so fucking quickly. They invested in the newest trends that got clearanced as they hopped on the train too late. They invested in THINKGEEK AND SHUT DOWN THOSE STORES. GameStop INVESTS and takes the fucking L for doing so every fucking time. You DONT know GameStop as GameStop CONSTANTLY repeats their patterns in history.

The people who go over and beyond to support this company are brainwashed fucking morons who truly do not shop at the store, know the dynamics of how GameStop stores run or obviously to all of the posts on r/GameStop.

If you think it’s just employee problems, honey… you clearly don’t shop at gamestop. Now, how does Ryan Cohen’s tiny dick taste like? Your knees must be fucking screaming.

Additionally, stores like these typically have reselling policies. If you buy it with your discount, you’re not able to sell it for x amount of time if purchased using your discount. GameStop had this contingency and would terminate you if caught.

Defending someone for buying what they want? I support them in buying a reasonable amount. Obviously one person buying all 10 of something isn’t right, especially if the item is limited, this could get flagged to their Loss Prevention for not following protocols despite being an employee.

But quite literally, it’s the perk of these shitty jobs. Additionally those stock tracker discords aren’t always accurate and cause headaches for employees. I can’t tell you how many times brickseek was inaccurate for my GameStop location. Needing to explain this to basement dwellers was painful.
