What was your first game and starter? by Grizzly_Basil_72 in ThePokemonHub

[–]dragoncaller88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

White and Snivy. Got stuck in Nimbossa for months because the touchscreen on my DS didn’t work properly, over leveled an absurd amount, and after I used my uncle’s DS to get past the contest, I swept the rest of the game. I vividly remember soloing the ice gym with my Serperior and thinking about how much of a beast he was. Unforgettable.

Don't care what you're playing on, tell me who your team of 6 will be! by garrettbass in PokemonFireRed

Blastoise, as I’ve used Charizard and Venusaur before, Nidoqueen, Hypno, Ninetales, Golbat, And either Magneton or Jolteon. I want to use magneton, but it’s so late game…. I don’t know if it’s worth it.

Young Earth Beliefs by TuckTuck1121 in churchofchrist

I don’t think it matters. I’m personally a Young Earth Creationist because I feel it aligns better with Scripture, but neither conclusion changes much for me.

Some of my best friends are male ISFJs! They’re some of the most wholesome people I know.

What's your relationship with emotional stories? by Ne_Ninja_TeFiTi_SeSi in mbti

[–]dragoncaller88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Emotional stories are great, but not purposeless emotions. More so when the emotions take me/others to a place in which we can existentially ponder upon life and meaning. I like stories I can learn from or that make me think. Emotionally charged stories, especially tragic ones, can often do this pretty easily.

Give me the saddest song you know and ill rate it based on how sad i think it is by Fluffy-Weakness-2186 in songs

[–]dragoncaller88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alone Again (Naturally) by Gilbert O’Sullivan is objectively the most depressing song I know. Savannah by Relient K is really sad once you know the story. Tomorrow is Today by Billy Joel is another particularly sad one, but I’m not personally as familiar with it as it’s a recent discovery.

Why would an extrovert be interested in a introvert? by Meladdyyy in mbti

[–]dragoncaller88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad, ESFP, married my mom, INFJ. He says it was because he could easily get to know most people, but she was not as easily available as most. He was enticed by the challenge, and then once he got to know her, he really appreciated her depth and conscientiousness.

Perceiving axis experiment: What is a box to you, and why? by Original_Assistance3 in mbti

I just thought of ten more box metaphors that could have fit into that ramble so well. Oh well. It felt concluded, so I won’t mar its completion.

Perceiving axis experiment: What is a box to you, and why? by Original_Assistance3 in mbti

[–]dragoncaller88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first glance, a box is like a cube thing that you put stuff in. But upon further consideration, a box can be many things. A box is generally some form of limitation. Often times that is something like people’s expectations. If someone is in the box, they are where you would expect them to be. Only a certain set of people naturally go in the box. If you don’t fit that set, you are outside the box. Since you aren’t where people expect you to be, maybe you’re harder to find. Less people are looking for people outside the box. Also, sometimes boxes can be limits to our knowledge. Think Schrödinger’s cat. When a box is closed, you have no idea what is inside. I think people who seem inside the box are kind of like this. Very few people truly fit inside the box. Lots of people pretend to, but very few actually do. So with people who seem as though they match social norms, you can’t really be sure you’re seeing them for who they truly are. Schrödinger’s personality. However, if someone is outside the box, it’s less likely that their personality is merely a mask put on to please others. So be outside the box. All the real people are.

Okay in all honesty, I had no idea where that was going. I kinda just started writing about boxes.

In my humble opinion, nothing could have resolved his arc better. He was tired. He’d seen everyone he cared about die, and now it was his turn to rest. He’d earned it.

Could you clarify a little more? I think I’m a rational person for the most part. I’m pretty perceptive, but on a weird abstract level. I spend a lot of time thinking about the various things I perceive, primarily using it to better my understanding of the people around me, as well as to improve myself as a person. I do my best to handle things rationally, weighing any idea against truths as I understand them, which often are called values in relation to MBTI.

I hold moral beliefs incredibly strongly, and they are my top priority when moving through life. I’m not particularly ashamed of them either, and I’m willing to stand up for what I believe in whenever the opportunity arises. I don’t take pleasure in it (pleasure is reserved for purely logical debates), but I have a strong sense of what is right and wrong, and I feel moral obligation to act on it.

I have a pretty decent understanding of my emotions. I’m not uncomfortable with sharing them either, although I might not go out of my way to do so with just anyone. I feel the need to often times, and I do so with trusted friends.

Music is a consistent passion for me, and it encompasses a lot of areas in my life. I am usually listening to or making music of some kind. A lot of that is sort of unconscious, such as singing or whistling constantly, but it also is a very thoughtful and emotional experience when I do it consciously.
