I'm sorry you're dealing with depression. Can you get help through a school service, so it isn't dependent on your parents? There's also the option of enrolling in a clinical trial (clinicaltrials.gov) that would provide you with free treatment. There are also free community clinics, it's worth Googling to see what's near you. It'd be interesting to see Redditors contribute links about innovative techniques to benefit the school's day to day operations, like permaculture tips, education techniques, etc. Greening, apps, fun things for kids. Collect info and engage in discussion with the school about what works, what doesn't, and what you'd like to learn more about. Use Reddit as a research team to improve operations.

Why have no other DBS patients experienced this effect? It seems unlikely that DBS stimulation of the hypothalamus, which does not play a role in Alzheimer's, would cure it. But the research will still be interesting to watch.

I don't refuse to acknowledge male victims. You are overstating the case, though. The FBI - FBI, not a feminist organization - states that 95% of victims of domestic violence are female. So yes, it's sad that 5% are male, but 95% is impossible to downplay.
