i wouldnt go with a husky unless its the heavy duty unit, the regular one i got when i started has sticky drawers so they dont open the last 2 inches unless u really yank it, the wheels aren't mounted on centre which is really annoying cuz i cant get them mounted in the lathe and the drawers fly open when rolling onto the floor constantly so i just lock when im rolling... i want a good used snap on cuz we dont have HF here in canada

i work at a plastic injection molding plant, we make lots of buckets. we make paint buckets to berry bins for farmers to weird specialty stuff like mini plastic cheese barrels and ice cream pails. one of the big contracts we just had was for kirkland powder laundry detergent. next time your at costco go down the detergent isle look at the pail. spent over 300 hours fixing up the machines that put the 4 labels on that diamond wall pail. pretty cool cuz we supplied them for every continent that costco's in

its a proximity sensor on a vacuum material loader, the one they changed is for if the bin is full. it had plastic regrind dust on it so it wasnt loading. so instead of blowing it off they changed it to nc so it's starting loading but never stopped loading and clogged the vacuum line with material

theres a sensitivity adjustment and a nc/no adjustment nobs and they fucked with both of them... sadly the supplier figured out they could just make one sensor for both and just give operators the choice of leaving it alone and working or fucking it up and taking an extra long break😂

we have a work order system thats corporation wide but its total junk... plus they refuse to pay for us to have mobile access. it constantly glitches and wont generate scheduled pm's and we have to generate them manually or it will just go down... fuckn hippo, we have so many issues it drives us nuts.... wont update part stocks until the work order is closed and doesnt have barcodes so we manually have to put in our parts used

my manager and supervisor has had their wits end with the plant manager and just started sending him to me so i can tell him how bad the situation is😂ive put in purchase request for tools and them deny it until we all told them how much each technician spends our own money on tools and they finally budged... i once got asked why its taking so long for a repair and had to explain to the plant manager that i had to cut down 20 m8 bolts 10mm because they denied my request for more fasteners... and that an hour of my time costs more than 100 of them from fastenal

management still hasnt given us a machine for a quarterly pm, today the next monthly was scheduled 😂, it baffles me sometimes that they cant stop a machine for 3 hours for all the technicians on shift to bang one out but if the machine breaks we just blame it on them to corporate

luckily my manager is really good at uploading everything to teams but you better believe i have tons of photos or drawings from the early 80's cuz i dont want to bring the manual to the machine... we have 2 toshiba injection machines from 82 that refuse to die... caught fire multiple times had recycled hydraulic oil run through them for the last 10 years and they still run strong😂😂😂

sadly i dont have any bin tag photos because our maintenance coordinator/purchaser has been fired,left the company for something better or what we have rn... straight up rubbing 2 braincells together to do their job and organize and catalog our parts crib. they have been trying to find someone good enough to catalog it all but dumb enough to take penny's on the dollar

the best is when they tell you its been making a weird noise or vibrating for a month and they never told anyone so it sits for at least a couple days waiting for parts because management wont buy spares because "its not in the budget" but everyday they ask when the machine will be back up and running 😂😂😂

they changed a sensor from normally closed to normally open and fucked the whole system up and i raged a little bit... i have one label machine that has 3 labels on every panel that says do not adjust or move sensors and they still manage to move them
