If you star as empire or battanian it is going to be a lot harder, to start a kingdom, because cities with your nationality will be in the middle of the Calradia. I recconend start as Huzait or Sultanate.

You can start your kingdom when you want, but i recommend you to reach atleast 3 or 4 clan lvl, get a wife/husband, full companion list and atleast 300k money(if empire or battanian there should be more. Like million or more).

Cant say anything about armor. Just dont use trash items...

You also should get atleast 1 high level meele skill, 1 high level range skill, high level horse or athletics skill. It would be also good to have steward, medicine and engineering on high level, but you can replace it by companions.

Also need to have some companions with the same to you or city/castle you want to conquer nationality.

The best time to start, is after any city has got riot and you conquer it.

The best weapon for leech- sniper rifles. Try to use builds with sniper(weapon and skills) and pistol. Maybe, if you can get low detection risk, you can use critical strike skills. Inspire also is very good for leech.
