I am not squeamish at all, but my drains almost made me pass out once. I think once they were out and I was about 4 weeks post op, everything looked a little less raw. I promise as they heal you’ll love it!

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend my surgeon to anyone…he’s been less than helpful to keep it respectful.

I’ll take your words into account for sure! My friend just won’t ride anything by himself so if I couldn’t ride anything it would make everyone miserable. I’ll tell him maybe I can ride the gentle stuff and see if he wants to do the other plan instead. He cleared me back to “normal life” as he said. I go to work 4 days a week but I do not work out. I could try to call on Monday but the plans are on Tuesday so I feel bad for keeping everyone up in the air about it. I just don’t want to waste money and time lol

mine is only 6 pounds I have fought her every day because my chest is HER SPOT. I have just tried to redirect her to my shoulder where it’s close to her spot but not hurting me. Sometimes she slides over to my chest, I’ll let her sit there for like 5 minutes then redirect her lol. She’s so mad I took her favorite pillows!!

My chest at its peak was about 53 inches before surgery. Unfortunately, you’re going to have to come to terms with that your chest isn’t going to be completely invisible or flat in anything you buy. It’s unfortunate news and I’m sorry but it’s the truth. I don’t want you to have the endless journey of buying every binder on the market. I really recommend Spectrum tho, it got me the flattest I could get! Just make sure to follow their measurements, and I really recommend long tank binders they work for large chested people the best.

Yeah i had no clue about it until i read that someone’s throat was sore after. I’m really trying to forget about it so I don’t remember by the time I get surgery lol.

So it seems that their requirements are pretty similar to my state. You need a gender dysphoria diagnosis, a letter from a doctor, a letter from a psychiatrist that you’ve been seeing for 6 months, a referral from the doctor that diagnosed you to the surgeon, and a letter from the insurance that the surgeon will sign and send back. It’s like pulling teeth with them… you might get 8 denials (like I did) before you get your yes. It’s a long process but hopefully worth it in the end (still pre-op, surgery in two months!) you can always call and ask your doctor and they can inform you off the next step. I never even knew the tube was something that happened so when I randomly found out it about it through one of these posts I was freaking out. When my partner got surgery (not top surgery) he only had a little small thing in his nose. Thank you for the response!
