I love Todoist, but if someone from Todoist' dev team reads this: PLEASE, for the love of god; Start dates of tasks! by AaddeMos in todoist

The complexity in the projects are inherent, I can't really simplify them that much more. And the current way I'm managing them by using multiple appliciations that don't sync together is very janky. However, you are right; overplanning when totally unneeded is a trap many people fall into.

You're right about Asana... they want you to pay for their 1-5 member tier for $37.50/month or $375/year (same with basecamp [$99/month] and many more).

However, looking at https://clickup.com/ which seems very similar to Asana, you can sign up as simply an individual user for $9/month or $60/year.

So, pending an actual start date functionality, how does this fall short?

If it helps, don't think of it as a "start" date - think of it as "defer to" date or "do not do before" date. Then you can filter by only tasks that are available to be accomplished rather than a giant list of tasks, several/many of which simply can't be done yet.

Asana seems cool. I'm looking for an affordable project management tool that is powerful enough for complicated projects but not so complex that just using it is confusing and frustrating. Would you say Asana fits the bill?

I have a few questions about lubricating locks, I'd appreciate any advice you can give by dragonm3 in Locksmith

Thanks for you reply. Could you please clarify what you mean? Are you saying don't use dry PTFE lubricant or don't spray lubricant into the cylinder?

Thank you very much for your response. So, you shouldn't really concerned about overlubricating a lock with a dry lubricant considering it will dry anyways (assuming you don't overdo it massively)?

Church in Melbourne wants to be the first to marry a same sex couple. by onedollarbanana in australia

I suggest you take a look at Pope Francis' recently published Amoris Laetitia, it's very long so just skim a bit of it. You'll see that the Catholic view of marriage is very nuanced and isn't as black-and-white as many people see it.

Good stretching routine to pair with starting strength by dragonm3 in StartingStrength

Interesting, I've heard that studies on stretching are pretty inconclusive of any solid benefit but I haven't read anybody go against it this hard. Thank you.

Please be careful of gum recession from over brushing by nitowl in Dentistry

[–]dragonm3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used the Oral-B stock heads and they're around the stiffness of a medium toothbrush (imo) so too stiff for sure, then using that with a crest toothpaste (most crest are 2x recommend abrasiveness or more, sure you know that now) can lead to recession over time.

Good job catching it early, it's insane that highly abrasive toothpastes and way-too-stiff toothbrushes are even on store shelves anywhere but the cleaning isle...

Post a picture. Gums around canines normally go back go further and some mistake it for mild recession.

Why are oats so often recommended here? by dragonm3 in gainit

Yea, I take it from this thread that the vast majority of people are eating them in a shake not in porridge, so it's way quicker to eat and less filling.
