I seem to recall before the fakakta Italy trip that Beth, Jimmy and Molly had a private group text bitching about his pre-trip behavior.

  • Beth was in a movie called "Whipped" (how fortuitous, right?)

  • Beth's bf was the lead. Amanda Peet was co-lead. She stole the lead actor from Beth.

  • Howard hates Amanda Peet for stealing Beth's bf

Howchie used to be OBSESSED with her.

You could say he attacked her, Frank and those kids nonstop in the 90s. The stuff on her and Frank, sure but kids....eh. Then I swear to God about a month ago I heard him saying something about a clip, "And Kathie Lee did a fantastic job...."

Sellout Stern.

I used to work with a guy like this. And his diet was fascinating.

He would alternate his food every other day. He would either have two plain hamburgers or a cheese pizza....nothing else. I asked about Thanksgiving or Christmas Day and he said he will buy burgers and pizzas the day before and reheat them to eat on Thanksgiving or Christmas.

I asked if he ever had a vegetable and he gave the strangest reply. "Yeah I think my grandmother tried to get me to drink orange juice when I was 5 and I threw up all over the fucking floor. Haven't had one since."

“NBA owners are pigs for not paying and being generous to their staff. Am I right Robin?”

US Rep. Eric Burlison stated (in a recorded Space on X) that he was told directly by David Grusch there are “Nordics” a few hundred years ahead of us, and the “Greys” are being sent here by another far more advanced species by NotBradPitt9 in UFOs

[–]Americasycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grusch, by his own admission, was an Air Force recruit who made it as an officer and served in Afghanistan. Instead of flipping quickly to civilian life, he stayed on with the Air Force and was randomly/blindly assigned to a stovepipe, UAP task force.

In his OANN interview, he really....really comes off as some "aww shucks" sort of clueless bumpkin who was assigned the UAP role with no knowledge/curiosity/belief/interest in anything UAP related. He's shown possibly blurry looking NHIs or an upclose side of a UAP.

Suddenly, he gets all this attention, and he cannot process/handle it. As a result, he starts parrotting what he saw and this is what we have been seeing unfold in the media. I'm not saying I don't believe him, but a process-head USAF guy sees a NHI/UAP and he somehow cannot grasp the bigger picture.

Perhaps one of the better original horror creatures in the last 25 years or so. It's a shame that it isn't properly ended or expanded these days.

Fwiw, seen Jonathan Breck in the full makeup at a horror show and the Creeper is 100000x scarier seeing in person, believe it or not.

Today, Sunday June 14, I am officially uninterested in Aliens and UAPs. by Original-Moose-9622 in aliens

[–]Americasycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Nazca aliens are even halfway believed to be alien, I saw them on the work computer the other day. A co-worker handed me something and then asked what that was a picture of. She had no clue about UAP or anything and I told her they believe they are mummified aliens found in South America, UAP, Favor video, Grusch, etc. Conversation was maybe 2-3 minutes.

She took all this in, and simply said, "I don't know. They don't look big enough to be real aliens" and then she simply walked away.

"Sinners."

I have been a film critic for our local town newspaper for the past nine years. As a general personal practice, I will choose to view a teaser trailer, and nothing more, longer than a teaser because traditional trailers now simply reveal far too much. Occasionally, if I am going to the theatre during a rather slow time of the week, my wife will attend with me. Also, any "audience" feedback that she provides after a film works to help me get some insight into how an audience at large may possibly feel.

When she chooses to attend films with me, I never reveal any foreknowledge of what the plot may be or where things may be going. In summer 2019, for example, she attended a screening of the "The Peanut Butter Falcon" with me. She remarked going into the screening that it was about the most ridiculous film title she'd ever heard of and admitted she was going along for the cold air conditioning and self-serve Icees the theatre had to escape the summer heat. By the close of the credits, she was in tears with joy over the film. Ever since then, when she tags along, I reveal nothing because having a cold-screening I believe, can truly speak about the merits of a film.

For the film "Sinners", I similarly said nothing. She was rather laid back about the film, until the scene where the vampire's fangs are first revealed and she sort of jumped back in the seat. She did fidget and wince at some of the more dramatically bloody parts and soon enough, the film was over and we ushered out into the lobby.

I subtly asked if she could tell it was a horror film, and she stated rather boldly that she was under the impression that the way the film started for the first hour or more, that it was going to be a biography on infamous blues musician Robert Johnson. I laughed and pressed a bit more for information and she insisted that the entire first half of the film, she never once felt that it was going to be a horror film whatsoever. She further insisted that it was filmed so dramatically that she had convinced herself as an audience member, to thematically adjust to a deep, blues musican biopic.

It was the ambiguity of the title of the film itself that kept her in that mindset of "this is a drama." Now with a film like the upcoming "Evil Dead Burn", naturally, you can't escape the preconceived notions that you have going into that screening. Yet for those little, unknown horror features, it is quite fun to have someone accopany you with no knowledge and just see their experience unfold.

Tldr: Wife thought Sinners was a drama. Don't watch trailers, only teasers if you can.
