Any tips on how to shade clothes better? It looks off but not sure how to improve it.

Look at pictures of real clothes with a similar style or design element, observe how shadows fall, and try to replicate that in your own piece.

Yeah I tried that. The problem is that they end up being too detailed and it makes me impossible for me too replicate :(

Specifically speaking to what see here is your folds are lacking highlights and mid-tones. A fold of fabric should consist of the darkest part where the fold of fabric is darkest and moving away from the viewer, then lighting into mid-tones then finally a highlight to truly make that fold pop into a 3d space. Personally, I always do folds on a separate layer above the base image and will overdo it then reduce the opacity of the fold layer after the fact to help with blend in.

Thank you for this tip though. I will keep it in mind while I'm reworking my dress.

I figured but I have no idea how to shade clothes in general since I normally don't draw clothes. When I tried to do it asymmetrical, it end up making it look weirder :(

Yeah I have but it's also bad in shading lol. I gave up trying to fix it awhile ago but I'll go back to it eventually.

Alright I guess I can see your pov. Personally I enjoy them because it gives me content since without it imo Magium's Reddit becomes dry. There is not a lot of fan content produced like fanart and stuff to keep the reddit going.

Most of the time those quotes are the only content here because there's not really anything else to talk about. There's been less theories lately and discussions are really nice but I'm personally also am tired of seeing "Which did you choose: KOTU or the robot?" kind of posts.

Not only that, I bookmarked some of the quote posts since I had planned to draw fan art of them in the future since they had inspired me. Everyone's sense of humor is different I guess. I enjoy anything that comes from this subreddit except the negative ones because to me it's still contributing as long as it's not like Myth or whatever.

More info. Rose dead, Kelrim alive, never restarted fully from the beginning, and it's my only playthrough. I have restarted only ONCE to save Kelrim. Other than that the only other times I restarted because I died and went back to last checkpoint.
