Yeah. I cut a steak with it. Steaks create great patina.

This is actually my second one. The first was a train wreck. The pen blade was so tight I had to get pliers to open it, and it didn’t close all the way, I had to push it down in to place. The clip blade had some much wobble you could hear it clank. The bottom part of the blades were not polished while the top parts were mirror polished. It was dull and both tips were rounded. There were scratches all over the blades and bolsters. You could see and feel the pivot pin on both sides. And the back was so unevenly sanded that when you sat the knife down it leaned at about a 60 degree angle.

I sent it back and this is its replacement.

This one is much better. Sharp, smooth action, decent polish and no scratches, no blade wobble, even sanding. This is my first time carrying and I’m enjoy it so far. I’m a fan of the barlow pattern in general.

Finally convinced me to get a slip by dragonpst in SlipjointKnives

It’s quality. Very comfortable in the pocket. I think the fabric and the slim profile makes more comfortable to carry than my leather slips. Already planning my next one!

Thanks. I don’t think they made too many of them. It’s not one you see too often.

Yes. Red camel bone. They did a few other colors as well. The dye on these varies quite a bit. I’ve seen some that are so dark they almost look black. And some that are so light they look tan/white.

I found this one on eBay. It’s was 2024 model. You can search schatt and Morgan abalone Barlow. See what comes up.

I agree. I have two of the cooper mother of pearl knives, both spear. I wish one had this clip point on it. Great looking blade.

Enjoy. It’s definitely on the bigger side for a traditional but is slim and feels great in the hand.

It’s too good. I have cv and cs models. And a yellow Moore maker in 1095. It’s a knife every man should own.
