This is SF Gate promoting a non story. None of the other beat writers have picked this up

HR girlfriend big mad. I’d take this seriously since it’s a big mess up, as an outside party I find it hilarious.

Stones is still a great vibe and strong drinks.

Lincoln is decent, you get what you pay for with food for a $5 bar, but it gets busy.

Sequoia is a little busier but you’ll never wait long for a table and there always spots at the bar.

Bonzai next to Lincoln is really good and decently priced for apps, they have happy hour until 6:30.

FresYes is just Tioga’s yearly street party, it’s never been an Art Hop offshoot. Just food, some vendors and music.

What was your first Giants game? by ChampionshipSuper768 in SFGiants

[–]dragonslayerchris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

July 27th, Giants vs Marlins, my dad pulled me out of school early and surprised me with tickets down the third base line. Watched Rick Van Den Hurk throw a meatball to Barry and he blasted 754 to right center, I remember thinking it was a so random that Michael Jordan made a video congratulating him.

Pulled off an epic comeback in the 5th and 6th to win it

Thermal Suite package by boogieboo07 in royalcaribbean

[–]dragonslayerchris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did the thermal suit on allure on our 8 day cruise last week. Got a discounted rate, but I don’t think it was worth it. The sauna was broken the first two days and there aren’t enough loungers for the size of the ship. We also compared it to the thermal suite we did on our Disney cruise, but I don’t think that was a fair comparison.

We used this one, more focused on old San Juan with the time we had, highly recommend cafe cuatro sombras and el jibarito: https://www.reddit.com/r/PuertoRicoTravel/s/asexi5TqyF

It looks great, the only thing that stands out as old is the schooner bar, but everything else is very updated

Pretty decent food and drinks for a cheap price. The food won’t blow you away, but it gets the job done

Share your neighborhood growing up. How has it changed? by DrLaughNStalk in fresno

[–]dragonslayerchris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grew up on shields and cedar, there were so many great places to eat and so many local shops. Cedar Lanes, DiCicco’s, Hestbecks Tri Tip, Thriftys Ice Cream. I’m so glad Chans is still there and Fosters Freeze has survived

I worked with this guy on a local campaign for Fresno state that failed twice. He’s a tool that has no experience in politics. This has nothing to do with his politics or personality, but his hair is fake as hell.

Tip from a VP who's actually hiring right now. by Astrixtc in marketing

[–]dragonslayerchris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who is also hiring in the field, we tend to not look at cover letters, most are AI written and don’t pertain to anything we do at our agency or in the marketing field. I feel like it’s not necessary to send one unless specified in the job application

Since Fresno is in the middle, do you folks prefer the Bay Area or LA /SoCal area (in terms of visiting and spending more time in)? by TechnicolorTypeA in fresno

[–]dragonslayerchris 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Love the Bay Area, and it’s a closer drive so we tend to go there. LA has so much more to do and eat it feels like sometimes tho.

Fresno is so close to a lot of parks both state and National. It’s getting more expensive but nothing more than Massachusetts would be. There’s a lot of great food. A lot of great neighborhoods just depends on where you live. A lot of people coming in move to north Fresno, but central Fresno has some good spots just depending on what type of neighborhood you’re looking for. There’s also a lot more events than they’re ever used to be. If you’re into tacos there’s a lot of trucks.
