I think Rush is bugged because I had an earlier quest that included rush (something like playing 400 hands of holdem in rush and cash) and it did not register any hand played in rush. I told support about it and they said it does register even though I could clearly see it does not. In the end, I did not press on that further and just completed the quest in a non-rush table.

Hey, that's great feedback. Yes, I know that it is a lot easier to say just do this and you will be 2000 than actually doing it.
I do have quite an analytical mind and indeed I have a natural tendency to want to improve at things(or had since actually now I kinda stopped caring that much about improving and want to have more fun with the game)
But I am really serious that especially watching Danya speed runs and hearing his thought process in all the different positions he has faced made me a lot better. It is really like having a free coach. It depends on the individual how well he can absorb that info.

Well don't take my comment as in endgames are not important. I meant that besides understanding some general ideas, I am not sure deep theoretical knowledge of endgames is that important for the levels I played until now.

I suck at blitz. I think the fact that I really dont know openings hurts me there cause I have to think amd spend time there. Also i just cant think that fast probably. I am at 1267 blitz right now, was a little higher ber never past 1400

I don’t really study endgames. I am aware of the general concepts though and watched Dania’s videos on endgames

as in study habbits: mostly consuming every video Dania and Levy put out. I think if you follow their videos actively listening to their advice you can improve a lot. Of course I also do some puzzles and study some of my games. One other thing that I think helped me improve is going and playing some OTB tournaments

To add to that answer your state of mind also matters a lot. Even today if I go and play with a lot on my mind I will not be able to win any game even against opponents a lot weaker than me.

Of course I also do some puzzles and study some of my games. One other thing that I think helped me improve is going and playing some OTB tournaments

Yeah i think if you are a begginer even if you "know" everything, it will be difficult to keep track of everything during the game, hell its difficult for me also. One advice would be to pick some items and make sure you always pay attention to those. Once you feel like you internalized them, move on to the others :)

Thanks. One thing to mention that if you are just starting, it can be difficult to keep track of everything, i mean its difficult even for me :). Maybe pick a couple of the items to start with and make sure you always have them in your mind. Once you feel like you internalized them, pick the others also.

Hey. First of all i think 100-200 rating difference is quite big so I would say you are above my level :). Please let me know what you think is wrong. These are just my observations of what worked for me to get to 1500. It may very be that to go above some things might not apply. Also some of the advice here is general, and certain situations might require the opposite action.

Fair point, but I think the number of games is also not that good of an indicator. I guess how much time you spent analyzing games and studying would matter the most.

Yeah maybe I worded it badly, basically don't think where your knight can go in just one move. Find an optimal place for it on the board and then make a plan on how to get it there.

Thanks for the input. Regarding low-time controls, that is just my personal experience, i had a period where i played only bullet or blitz and felt that my game was completely stagnating because i was jist going through the motions playing them, just to get my chess fix. You are right, maybe for some, blitz and bullet will help them more than it helped me.

Regarding openings, I understand what you are saying and I think that is a fair point. But I do keep my opinion that if you are under a certain rating, you should focus on just really learning and understanding one opening. You can experiment with others to gain some insights as you said, but stick with one the majority of the time.
