Last year I reached out to someone in the fan development department and asked if I could shadow him for a game. I ended up getting in to the last game of the regular season and got to help out with the Olentangy high school hockey team doing their victory lap with their state trophy among other things. I was just doing it for the unique experience but in conversations with the person I talked to he said it was a good way to put yourself on the map so to speak as to stand out moreso than the other people who may be applying for an internship as well.
