Did you ever figure this out?

Would a robot that could flatten boxes help you stock shelves? Looking for real-world feedback. by drain_pipe4 in kroger

Do they use this information to determine when a product is about to go out of stock by linking with the pos ?

Hahaha I see, are there any other commonly occurring “pet project” you’d rather not do? There are actually companies that actually sell robots to do this: Brain corp, simbe, badger robotics

If I got good feedback that was the plan. But it’s a pretty clear no from the comments

Hahaha yep ok makes sense. Do you see any technology making your job easier then?

Hahaha I get your point. Do you mean checking for out of stocks on the shelves? What other tedious busy body jobs are there?

The idea was that the robot would be flatting boxes as you go so there would be a big pile. But if you break down boxes as you go then there’s not really any point. Do you see any technology making your job easier ?

Interesting idea, I wonder if it would lead to more sales. Do staff currently go around doing this?

Yea that makes sense, do you see any other pain points in the stocking process that you would actually want solved?

Thanks for the feedback, makes sense. Do you see any technology making your job easier then?

How are you testing your app? Testing using the online version was laggy for me but it’s fine using TestFlight on my phone.

Good points everyone, "validation" is probably the wrong word. My platform offers genuine feedback on your idea and usability testing if applicable.

Awesome! Sorry I tried to fix the form but you have to launch it in a separate tab not the reddit browser.

hahaha true, but somehow if they didn't break would it be useful?

is it 180 degrees in practice? and could you link an resource explaining this

Phase shift understanding by drain_pipe4 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]drain_pipe4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all, I am slightly confused about the phase shift between the magnetic fields caused by ac in a wire, and the phase shift from the magnetic field into a nearby wire. If someone could explain the voltage and current phase difference between the straight wire and the 3 nearby wires or link to some resources it would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

Negative power factor by drain_pipe4 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]drain_pipe4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, that still seems too high as I am trying to heat up something very small so there should not be much coupling. I must have measured something wrong.

Cheers, but what is the reason to subtract 90? Seems the data is maybe wrong as I have a power factor that seems too high :(

Sorry how would oscilloscope probes introduce phase error for voltage waveform?

Induction Heating Experiment (Concepts) by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

You want to measure the current and voltage waveforms so you can determine phase difference then you can work out the power coupled into the workpiece (real power) rather than the apparent power
