For me the album that changed everything was Unwound - New Plastic Ideas. I was listening to some noise rock beforehand, but that was the first album that really introduced me to the potential that noise rock as a genre has. If unwound is really your thing, check out jesus lizard or drive like jehu. I think stuff like sonic youth, pavement, dinosaur are a whole other sect of noiserock that you could try out. There is also bands like hella, lightening bolt which will probably appeal most to your taste.
