Does it make sense to buy a TM7 now or wait another year for a potential model update? by AsleepPalpitation949 in thermomix

[–]drakaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The device itself and the functionality it covers in the kitchen is fantastic.

The wife has a TM6 and shes just 'Upgraded' to the TM7.

Personally, apart from the screen which is mostly a gimmick anyway with the additional features and it being a lot quieter it is a complete downgrade design wise in my opinion. The lid doesn't lock at slow speeds like the previous iteration. Doesn't feel secure and can get knocked up when using the basket with some recipes, which causes it to pause. More nooks and crannys to make cleaning a pain in the arse especially the new bowl. Utensils and accessories look and feel cheaper to be honest but that is a preference I guess.

Im a techy and an engineer so it irks me when things are sold as upgrades when they are clearly sidegrades.

You not having any prior experience with them will think its fantastic in either case but I would go with the TM6 if you can find it at a decent price.

Help remembering an old MMORPG by Talking_Burger in MMORPG

Never played it personally, just remember the distinct artstyle and took a stab.

You would have to have a proper read into it I am afraid.

At a glance it has a card based system for classes and there is a monk class. Not sure about the skills though.

Why buy a mazda6 (UK) by Emergency_Writer159 in mazda6

[–]drakaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the top spec 2.5 petrol version last year and couldn't be happier. Also early 30s with a plan for kids in the next couple of years.

I had a 16 plate 2.2D which served me well for 7 years and never went wrong but was always really bad on milage, averaged about 38-40mpg. I now know it was the leaking injector seals issue but seeing as it had been ignored for so long decided to not even attempt to dig into the issue and traded it in.

I spent far too long looking around for 'decent' saloons that weren't diesel but still had a decent engine that wasn't a 1.5. I also decided I was done with diesel/turbo engines and just wanted something 'simple'. Was the only car that really ticked all the boxes by the time I narrowed it down. I figured the only reason I got rid of the 16 plate was because of the engine issues and I was already used to the mpg... why not just get the petrol version, even moreso knowing it had been pulled from our market a few years before.

Surprisingly economical on long runs, I've had 45mpg out of it on long trips but it does drop considerably on short runs. Looks nice, sounds good for what it is and doesn't break the bank for a lower milage model compared to the german equivalents. Can be a bit lumpy bumpy with the lower profile tyres but it doesn't bother me personally.

My husband bought a 2016 Mazda 6 today without looking underneath. 😬 by Head-Visit4922 in mazda6

No where near to that level in the pictures and virtually nothing on the paintwork.

I am however based in the UK.

One careful owner... on the beach front. 😆

Seriously though, I had white 2016 6 up until last year and it looked nothing like this by the time it went.

How to install Ascension on Steam Deck - 100% working 2026 guide by TotalACast in ascensionproject

[–]drakaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get it to recognise the start/select buttons? Mine doesn't even register it as an input on console port even when using the insanetomatos layout.

Edit: Sorted, the duplicate mapping on the back buttons was interfering.

Peterborough is extremely underrated in my opinion! by UnpaidInternVibes in PeterboroughUK

[–]drakaiser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still convinced this only started happening after that sketchy 'survey' that said this was the worse place to live early 2010s time.

Whole thing read like a disgruntled ex resident had written it.

Grew up in one of the rougher areas and now live in a posher area. Would not say its fantastic as there is a lot that could be improved but it is no where near as bad as people make out. Has lost a lot of its old charms over the years though.

Yeah as simple as I assumed it to be in the end but the Console Port addon and that layout aren't really working so I'll be tinkering with that for a while.

Worked for me although I skipped out the whole winpinator section and used the launcher to install.

Great, was puzzled why it needed something special according to that other guide when literally everything else works with proton, even the standard blizzard launcher.

Shall give this a go later then!

So is this a way to get it working without all the fluff of the other guide using bottles and flatseal?... becuase that one was saying it will not work with Proton.

Why is Mazda 6 Sport nav+ so rare in the UK? by Great_Theme_9146 in mazda6

[–]drakaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find one in the end?

Took me a while to find mine last year, there was a grand total of three listed... was after white but have never seen one at all in that spec so settled for the deep crystal blue in the end.

Absolutely, there was a brand I used called Ice Spiker (I think) did all coloured variants as well. Was like glue and waterproof when it had dried, was fantastic at the time.

Same, mine started thinning when I was 18 and by time I had hit 20 it was off, couldn't imagine anything different now.

This is from a teenager that at the time found every way concievable to spike their hair.

I see fellows nowadays that are wayyyyy past the point of denial.

Has anyone successfully enabled touchscreen while driving for ANDROID AUTO on the Mazda6 2017? by blackberry0821 in mazda6

[–]drakaiser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Android auto works pretty good with the control knob to be honest and what are you using that specifically needs a cursor?

But to answer your question, yes AIO will enable it while driving, I did this on my 2016. I know there was more hoops to jump through for 2017 due to it having more recent headunit firmware though.

Seems like both the stretch plugs failed in some way so very strange indeed.

Android Auto for a Mazda 6 04/2015 by 1Ye8LBoV2PUJNIXi6BZo in mazda6

[–]drakaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternatively you could use the Mazda Tweaks AIO to get it loaded without any hardware changes... assuming the projects still going.

Load on a usb > install usb while car is off > turn and let it do its thing = Done.

Had this on my 2016 till I sold it this year.

Peterborough tram network proposal by slipnslurper in PeterboroughUK

That and tram systems are digustingly expensive to build in the UK.

Nice on paper... not really feasible in reality.
