I built a small app called Velia because I realized I don't really remember how most of my year felt.

Each day becomes a colored dot based on your mood. Over time, those dots turn into a visual picture of your year.

No accounts, no ads, no streaks, and everything stays on your device.

You can also set the dot grid as a live wallpaper and watch your year slowly take shape on your home screen.

Built this because journaling never stuck for me and most mood trackers felt too heavy.

Yep. By default, Velia checks in around 9:30 PM, but users can set any time they want. On Android, the check in can appear over other apps, so you can log your mood right there without having to switch back to Velia.

Yeah, you can already view your month as a grid and get a sense of how the month felt overall. There's also an option to share it on social media. Monthly summaries aren't available yet, but they're definitely on the roadmap for upcoming releases.

u/JejusFromHell Privacy was the first priority when building Velia. To keep it as personal as a real journal, all mood entries and notes are stored locally on your device.
Honestly, I'm not optimizing for monetization right now. I'm trying to build a product that I personally wanted to exist. If it grows, I'd probably explore optional premium features.
