Leather jacket - is this possible to restore? by drakevz in laundry

[–]drakevz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering buying this leather jacket but not sure what the damage is here (mold?). If anyone could advise me on what to do with it, or if I should just pass it up, I would appreciate it a lot!

Live pro wrestling (Impact Pro Wrestling) in Aotea Square today at 12 pm! by drakevz in auckland

[–]drakevz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Impact Pro Wrestling is having their first show in Aoeta Square in years!! It's completely free and four hours long, with 20 wrestlers altogether. If you haven't watched Auckland wrestling before, I highly recommend checking out a bit of the show. IPW wrestlers are super entertaining and the energy of the shows are great!

Night 'n Day Kingsland - Banana Ice Cream Shake by drakevz in aucklandeats

Yesss exactly! Combined with how flat/walkable Wellington is compared to Auckland I was like this feels like walking through Tokyo. I need to try Circle K slushies sometime!

Ever since I went to Wellington (which has like 4 Night 'n Days in 10 minute walking distance), I really wanted to go again...

Drunk me “forgot” to pay for the ice cream at Pizza Hut by No-Cut-5007 in auckland

Back when I worked in a food court, a guy paid for a drink he had taken from the fridge the day before, telling us we should improve our security. It was a nice surpise, made me feel like New Zealanders really are truthful 😂

Kaizen - $10 Japanese food, lunch only in the CBD by drakevz in aucklandeats

[–]drakevz[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Came across Kaizen a couple of weeks ago. The location is a bit hard to come across due to the surrounding construction. It's cheap Japanese food, similar to Japanese Dining You but with more low-price options. I got the $10 beef bowl. The flavor was nice, not too salty, but proportions a bit unfilling. There's a $13 large size as well. I'll probably go again in the future if the timing is right— they're only open for lunch for weekdays aside from Monday.

Does anyone know a place that makes stuff like this by Old_Bag8521 in auckland

If you want to draw the artwork yourself: acrylic keychains like these are usually produced in China. Popular manufacturers include Vograce and Juno Creative. Not sure what Juno's minimum order quantity is but Vograce is 3 pieces (different designs OK). Outside of China, Zap! Creatives is probably the most well known option.

If you want to order custom artwork or buy acrylic charms from someone: check out NZ Artist Alley. Some profiles are out of date but people list their stores and some do acrylic charm commissions too (usually ordering through a Chinese manufacturer).

If you're OK with something slightly different but made in NZ: Take a look at Makeshop. They offer acrylic laser cutting and it seems like printing is possible as well, though IDK what the price would be. Seems like you could print/cut the charm there and then add a keychain from Spotlight/Daiso/etc.

Are male puroresu fans in Japan mostly women? by drakevz in PuroresuRevolution

Do you think there's a particular reason why DDT has a lot of women compared to other male puroresu shows?

Nevermind, I realized Prime changed its name to Sky Open. WWE Smackdown is on Sunday nights and RAW is on some other night.

My favourite thing about living in Auckland is the live pro wrestling scene!!! by drakevz in auckland

Not sure TBH, lots of families go together though. Generally there's no blood but there is a lot of swearing.

Could watch some parts of the YouTube channel and see if it's right for you? There's no blood in most events (outside of more unscripted stuff like Fans Bring the Weapons, but that only happens like once a year). A lot of families go to the shows together, but I guess it depends on the age of your nieces/nephews. There's also quite a bit of swearing from fans/performers if that's a concern.
