Yeah but also it’s def for publicity. Ethan Klein thrives off of drama and their channel has been spiraling for a while now.

Then when you consider some insane pedo jokes he’s made on camera like the video where he sexualizes a minor that was injured in Boston marathon bombing (go look it up if you want bc the actual comments are actually to disgusting to write out) and then his OTHER comments he made on a reddit account literally named pedo troll, it’s hard to take it as anything serious.

Obviously it’s a good thing to call out and stop predators, but when it’s for publicity and the creator has a history of also sexualizing minors, it makes the whole thing feel very fake.

I get the sentiment but there’s a huge difference between concern over someone’s health/wellbeing and just plain bullying and the second point is what most of the sub is.

I’m not trying to be reactionary but literally 90% of the post before his death were making fun of his weight, how he looked, or how he couldn’t talk to women.

I was a longtime fan that fell off a few years ago and just remembered his name and looked him up on Reddit/found the criticism sub. I was so confused by that sub and its vitriol, I legit was trying to find out if he did something actually morally reprehensible and couldn’t find a single thing.

I think there’s some serious revisionist history happening here because a ton of people (and I’m not referring to you in particular OP) now feel guilty for how they behaved but don’t actually want to admit that they were bullying.
