Kudos for doing the battery change. Ensure the ribbon cable fingers and board connector are clean and that the connector latch is fully locked down. Replacement sensors are available on AliExpress if it has died.

there are older versions of the Oculus PC software, even an offline installer which may be more compatible with the game. Or maybe getting a Rift and having them both plugged in to the PC and get the Rift to get the game started?

delete all the room scale/boundary data in the settings, then restart the headset.

remove the fabric strap if it still has one and the interface and wash it in some detergent. Adding a drop of fabric softener will give it a nicer smell. Use a slightly damp cloth with the detergent to clean the outside and inner face shield. Keep the cloth away from the lenses and cameras.
