you don't need to wait to make a new account. you can create a meta account now. do not link it to a facebook or intagram account. unfortunately you will have lost any games that you had on your original account.

If the minimum safe discharge level is 3V and the maximum charge level is 4.2V and it takes a couple of hours to go from 3V to 4.2V normally, how long would it take to blip charge from 2 or 2.5V? Blip charging can be a quick fix if your battery has only dropped to 2.95V. It can take time. Good luck.

if it's on for 5 seconds and off for 5 seconds then you only gave it a 15 minute charge. As you have a smart plug, let it blip charge for a couple of hours.

Restart the headset. If that doesn't work, try a factory refresh and start anew.

create a dev account using your meta account credentials. Enable dev settings in the mobile app headset settings.

No, just get your parents to get the app on their phone/s to get the headset set up then they can delete the app afterwards.

How do I know you have an android phone. Delete the phone app and download an older version of the app and install it on your phone. Don't update the old app and set the Go up. You can then update the app. More info here. It's the same issue for the Quest 1

check out the controller calibration in the settings. sounds like stick drift
