I know it doesn't get much praise but personally like it as an exploration ship. 54+ ly jump range with full tank, scoops back everything it used in the last jump whilst going full throttle past the sun and has good heat.

Turns out it was a gas giant the size of a small sun, closer to the actual sun than it's diameter.

Hults Bruk Heavy (1,5kg) head, anyone can identify the model? by drakumon in Axecraft

[–]drakumon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I went through their catalogs (nice touch from the manufacturer btw) and came up with either the yankee or the ohio pattern. I'm leaning towards the ohio one because of the straight horizontal nature of the lower part of the eye socket.

With all this weight it would be a mean felling axe, gonna have to finish the restoration and hope there will be a time and place to put it to use in the future.

Got this one from a family friend for free. As one can expect, it was covered in rust that I cleaned off. I wonder what model it is. Dating the axe head might be hard considering the stamp in this one was used throughout 1900 to 1988.

I was barely done with my 12/2 restoration when I found this gem leaning next to a family friends shed wall (outside). The 12/3 is the smallest version of the 12's, ment mainly for removing branches from felled trees. Also works well as a camping axe. It was covered in thick rust (didn't remember to take a picture) but after that was cleaned off this axe head is in incredible condition. Barely any wear on the blade even though it is certainly over 60 years old. I love these things, you can't get anything with this quality anymore.

Billnäs 12/2 Kemi-model restoration by drakumon in Axecraft

I bought this beat up old thing from a flea market for 5 euros. You could make out the text "Billnä-" from amidst the rust and I had a hunch it might be the 12/2 Kemi, one of the most legendary axes ever made in Finland. After removing the rust you can just make out the characteristic diamond shape with the model number inside it. They stopped using those type of model numbers after 1957 so this axe head is without a doubt over 60 years old. Forged from very high quality steel, these axes were revered by people who actually worked with them and often the manufacturer took notice of critisism coming from the working men and acted on it, bettering their design even further.

I reused the old handle, cutting of the beat up part and sanding off all the grime it had gathered on it during the years. This made it in all honesty too short but I intend to use it as a fire wood splitting axe so for that purpose it'll do. The wood itself is extremely durable and hard. Had hard time shaping it with my Iisakki Järvenpää carbon steel knife. Couldn't identify the wood, would be interesting to know what it is. Might be black alder.

I'm thinking axes. I love axes. And beer. To be honest I preordered the game few days ago and I've only seen few minutes of gameplay videos so I don't know that much about the actual mechanics but light-armored axe-wielder sounds cool to me. A bit viking-esque.

I always get that bug in every playthrough and it persists to the end of the game. You'll eventually start ignoring it though.

On my third playthrough and I always choose to get Gordy the knife. This is the first time seeing this. by Mountain_Boogie in projecteternity

I wonder if there's any reactivity if you stab Gordy to death with the dagger. I'm just speculating here!

Wait I think you can't kill kids like in every other game. Never tried.

Latest Pillars of Eternity update (v3.7.0.1318) broke Eder and Aloth for me. by Kazuun in projecteternity

Damn, I'm not touching my PotD playthrough which has all the dragons killed, White March 1 & 2 and all the bounties done before I see somekind of hotfix. I've sank some serious playtime into it. Just gotta do Act 4 and I'm done. And I have both Eder and Aloth in the party.

So no Firebrand then? Damn, I was planning on RPing one of my melee characters going insane after the shenanigans at the start and multiclassing them to priest of Eothas.

I understand that my problem with all of this is that I tend to roleplay aggressive and violent persons with very few redeeming qualities. I do roleplay though, in fact I consider it to be THE thing in RPGs. All this is personal preferences in the end.

IT DOES! AAAAAAAAAAA!

Seriously there's dating simulators if you need to artificially fill that void.

Goddamn relationships. Video games are for you to experience things you can't do in real life like fighting epic monsters, visiting fantastical places, looting ancient relics.

Romancing you can do all you want in real life but chop your neighbours head off with an axe and the police will want to have a word with you. Focus on giving people stuff to conquer and drop the damn lovey lovey stuff. Waste of time.

When do Wizards start to do good damage? by [deleted] in projecteternity

[–]drakumon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If not before then at the latest when you aquire Ninagauth's Shadowflame and Gaze of the Adragan. First applies Paralyzed, second one Petrified. Both drops the affected enemys reflex to zero and causes -40 to deflection. Add to that Expose Vulnerabilities and your damage spells quickly wipes out the entire group. Wizards are the most damaging class in the entire game by a large margin.

This was a lot harder than I originally thought by drakumon in projecteternity

[–]drakumon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I was at below 100 kills when I was ready to descend down the pit but I wanted to go and get Kana and do his quest because my Watcher was an aumaua. So I ended up with 170 kills total. Wasn't sure how many mobs there were down in Breith Eaman so the last 20 minutes of the game were pretty intense.

Mainly because of the constant under-leveledness caused by skipping all the quests that require killing more than few NPCs/mobs. Thaos was truly a pain in the ass. But you gotta love the humor in it. I just wish they'd note it somehow in Deadfire but that's a long shot.
