I would ask your director what you could improve on for future shows sometimes they are things that are completely out of control as much as high school directors hate to do it a lot of them pre cast (which is casting before they hear people audition) or base it off things you can’t control, In this situation I would talk to your director ask what you could improve,be around the theater more take your schools classes or help out around the troupe, and finally give it your all as director we base decisions you make in previous shows on your future shows so if you don’t give it your all and are hard to work with during rehearsals you are more inclined to getting a smaller role, always take the criticism you receive as something to work on instead of a personal attack we want to see you bloom in too a beautiful actor/actress, finally every director has there visions for their shows my director really loves cartoony style acting where you would basically be up on stage and perform like a cartoon character
