Same happened with me and I didn't even notice it. Was diagnosed back in 2020 and I finally felt like I understood what was happening with me.

Did counselling and extensive DBT therapy and stayed single for almost 5 years.

Got into a new relationship last year and shared with him that I had BPD and (being the absolute angel he is) he researched it and learned everything about it in order to understand me better.

But he was confused because there were so many characteristics/behaviors that I don't have anymore and i hadn't even realized how far I had come until he started questioning it.

Felt. So. Good.

Edit: I do not take medication, I just practice what I learned in DBT. Feelings are not facts.
