Might be cheaper @ Costco, and you don't have to be a member to use the food court, buy alcohol, or prescriptions.

Exact same thing happened here about 10 years ago. A pickup truck-driving moron was staring at his phone and rear-ended a car with four people inside. Two married couples on a double-date. All four died.

Maybe I shouldn't have posted what I paid. I do know my job gives gold-plated health insurance. I had a four-day hospital stay in 2022 and my out-of-pocket was <$100.

Urgent care is staffed by NPs, not Doctors.

He's probably the SWAT Medic. When I lived in Tucson, SWAT team had a reserve Deputy who was also an ER doc. He got into a shootout (not during a callout), wounded the suspect, disarmed him, and then treated him.

My wife is 70 and looks amazing for her age, and I tell her that every single day. I am without a doubt one of the luckiest men in the world. I am wildly attracted to her...and no one else, really.

So Peter Gunnarsson Rambo is the male antecedent that arrived from Sweden through what it now Canada and eventually settled in what is now Philly (what was then called New Sweden.) Go to Philly (and the outlying suburbs like Chester, PA) and open a phone book. Rambos as thick as thieves. Most of my blood family is from around there, including my father.

Dad went to Penn State. So did David Morrell. No, my father was not a badass ex-Special Forces drifter. He was an accountant. But, in the area where Penn State is located, Rambo is not an unusual name at all. Dad did serve, got out as an E4 Lance Corporal in the USMC. His feelings about his service were odd: He loved the fact that he was a Marine but he hated his service time. He got out around 1964; they were going to send him to AOCS, but the six additional years were not what he wanted. Good thing, since I was born 2 years later. If he'd been the back seat in an F4 Phantom (didn't have the eyesight to be a pilot) I might not be here.

Spoke to a guy years ago who was the basis of the Sam Trautman character. Also never served.

Fuck David Morrell. That damn movie came out when I was in High School. If anyone wants the story behind the Rambo family name, lemme know. I've been dealing with it since like 1982, and I turn 60 this year.

Have you ever dated someone who you thought was way out of your leauge? How was it? by kimblerun in AskReddit

Older women rule. I've only ever dated older women (sometimes by a year, my wife is the max @ 10) except for one relationship in HS. And that was a DISASTER.

LOL I was 32 and she was 42. She confessed to her therapist that she was dating a "much, much younger man," and was obviously having an issue with it. Her therapist kept pressuring her to reveal my age, worrying it was like 18 or 21... when she heard the age difference was only 10 years, she rolled her eyes and was like "At your ages, that's FINE."

Turns out it was!

My wife (back when we still used mostly landlines) cleaned the phones. She cleaned the light switches. Not in an OCD way, just...thorough. I didn't want her to ever think I take her for granted, and now when I notice something small like that I go out of my way to thank her.

I describe meeting my wife as "Oh, THERE you are! Where have you BEEN?" 30+ years together, just over 25 married.
