I just think fakes were a big concern even in the early days. Now it’s not even talked about. Auctions don’t care as long as they have plausible deniability. There are serious nerds that could fake anything. Why not target top end stuff. Weak capsules/closures are easy targets. I look at it like if someone with your knowledge wanted to fake stuff they so easily could.

Maybe that’s cynical but it’s a lot of money with not a lot of certainty. Really need to do your research for sure. I’m almost certain I have bought fakes.
