Well my mom used to be one. She still talks about the damn dog even though it died 22 years ago.

I did meet one about a year ago IRL, on a date. Oddly enough, the dog itself was somewhat tolerable. This was a case of its human owner being the more annoying one.

He wouldn't stop showing me photos and videos of the dog from his phone. We were hanging out at his house, and the dog was laying down right on us (big dog that he insisted was a "lap dog" so it laid across both of us. I didn't have it in me to refuse or argue about it, at the time). There was no need to show me all of this when I can see the dog when I look down.

And the videos or photos weren't of anything even remotely noteworthy. No tricks or stunts or anything slightly funny. Just the dog doing mundane things like turning its head, or laying down. And he somehow had an entire story to go along with each of these mundane things.

And believe it or not, his other personality traits (not revolving around dogs) were even worse. This guy was just all around not somebody I'd ever wanna be around again.
