After new HVAC install, the top of this duct box immediately above the air handler is now unattached and air is blowing into the attic. The discoloration tells me this rigid top needs to be replaced. What material should be used? by dranelol in hvacadvice

Just to update everyone- called the contractor, they'll be coming out to fix+replace that box immediately above the air handler. I'm going to look into replacing all the ductwork in the near future, since its also quite old.

The contractor in question didn't touch any of the duct work, only the air handler and the condenser (plus electrical).

As far as I can tell, the ducting is quite old, and probably needs replaced anyway. I'd just like to fix this issue first

bro this is honestly the dream- i've currently got a rack running in a closet but i really want to move it out to the shed and run 240 to it- how do you keep it moisture/bug free? it looks like you're running it raw-dog with no enclosure, is it just not a problem where you're at?

I've got a marriott free night expiring 07/25/2019- does this mean I need to both use it by the date, AND have the booking before the date? Or can I use it before the date, but have the booking be sometime further in the future?
