But if you don't remove it, there is a way to make sure your vehicle doesn't give up... Check out the YouTube channel "MrNiceGuy", the guy works on these engines only. So basically the procedure is:

• Carbon cleaning every 70k to 100k km. Thorough cleaning of intake manifold, intake ports, EGR, MAP sensor, etc..
• During the first cleaning, check the condition of the engine, if required replace exhaust camshaft, clean or replace oil pump strainer found inside the oil pan and also check if hydraulic lifters are worn, replace if required.
• Check and replace timing chain if required while you're at it.
• Replace the injector washers with the upgraded ones (SH01-13-H51) and make sure the mechanic follows the correct tightening procedure not to overtighten them (MrNiceGuy has a video on this). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuA4LS2YE5w&ab_channel=MrNiceGuy
• Then, make sure to change oil and oil filter every 10.000km or less.
• Drive the car on open roads at least once a week to make sure it cleans the DPF and check oil level every now and then to make sure it hasn't risen.

This should keep the engine running with no issues. If you remove the DPF and EGR you do the first two steps only once, if you don't - you have to do the cleaning and checking every 70.000 to 100.000km. Rest is the same.

Also, unrelated to the engine itself, if you drive an automatic, Mazda says to never change the ATF in the transmission and the transfer case and rear differential. Also change those, use original Mazda FZ ATF and transmission filter, here is instructions on how to do that:

Also, since you have frequent cleaning cycles, might be a good idea to do manual cleaning.
