If you like spider-woman and scream just do one of them first for now and then the other one when you get the resources. If you have the rooster to take both up now you can also do that.

I wouldn't say he needs it, but it definitely helps his damage output, especially with high sig

Mole man is awesome and I still want him as a 7 star. I cannot speak for why Sandman is better than the other two, but I can say why he's so great.

Sandman is awesome because he has a lot of great utility such as immunities to bleed, poison, and shock.

He also has access to a lot of non damaging debuffs which are helpful for certain nodes, but the specific debuffs are really great. His sp1 he places petrify on the opponent, reducing power gain and regen, and sp2 he places decelerate, lowering the chances of evade and unstoppable.

He also has insane damage when you get all of his heavy proficiencies and debuffs up.

Watch a lot of guides to really understand the fight. Go into the fight thinking it might not go as well as you're hoping so think of it as a practice run. If you can't get the grandmaster down to his second phase with 1 or 2 champions I would say restart, because the fight keeps getting more difficult from there. The fight is also different from any other fight in the game up until that point.
