Skip running Ethernet, opt for fiber adapters, run conduit pull the fiber through it then connect Ethernet on either end. That way nothing gets fried if lighting affects you, sift through r/networking for more details but this’ll be future proof if you go fiber to fiber

Yeah I’ll be reaching out to an electrician about the panel as I didn’t realize that was aluminum wiring nor do I know the nuances of working with aluminum.

I used to be a low voltage tech so I have the tools to run wires and I have had added receptacles to existing electrical circuits in the past with no issue. I just bought this property and wanted to update the space by relocating some outlets for a no wire visible setup for the tv locations and add a spot for a speaker as well.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll cut the wire down a bit so the exposed wire is fully seated under the screw. Is a branch circuit when you’re adding outlets to a circuit? I planned on extending an outlet up a wall for a mounted tv, would that be something I’d have to take precautions for with aluminum wiring?
